Here are some details:
- The competition will take place on Sunday 29th September 2024 at Maidenhead Coffee Festival (follow @maidenheadcoffeefestival on Instagram)
- You will serve 2 rounds of drinks to a small panel of judges – a round of espressos and a round of flat whites
- Competition coffee will be sponsored by Moneyrow Beans (everyone will be using the same coffee so it’s a level playing field, you’ll get a sample in advance to try out before the day)
- Judges will give scores for skills, service and taste experience
- You don’t have to currently be employed as a barista, you can be either working as a barista or looking for work as a barista.
- There is an entry fee of £50 which includes 3 tickets for Maidenhead Coffee Festival (1 for the barista and 2 for your fans)
- You don’t need any kit, coffee, gadgets or equipment, you will just need to bring yourself on the day and be ready at your allocated time to set up, practice and then compete!
